The Holistic Heart in the Himalayas

Considering that most of our staff at Imagina our Yoguinis, which means that we practice yoga on a dialy basis, we decided to run some adventure trips to India. In march 2008 we ran our first trips to the mighty Himalayas. We start our trip in the city of Delhi where you get your first insight into the indian culture. From Delhi we make our way to a small town known as Dharmsala, also known as the small Tibet and home of the 14th Dali Lama where we spend our days learning about the buhdist culture and meditate with the monks in the temple of the Dali Lama. From Dharmsala we cross the hole of the northern part of the country to the city of Amristar where we spend time learning about the sihk culture and practice Kundalini yoga in the Golden Temple which i have no words for " you can feel the presence of God in this place". From Amristar we make our way to the famous town of Rishikesh where we learn more about the Hindu culture, practice yoga with the gurus and we raft down the mighty Ganges river. We also spend a couple of days in the town of Haridwar where we go on safari to look for tigers. Now this is just in 12 days. we also offer an extention of the trip for another 6 days in which we make our way arround the Golden Triangle route, which takes us to the city of Agra to visit the Taj Majal, Jaipur to visit the fortress of amber and the city of Khajuraho where we visit the temples of Kamasutra. Expo Papagayo

The River Papagayo is classified as one of the cleanest rivers in Mexico and is perfect for all the family. Imagina Rafting is the only company that operates trips to the upper section of the river Papagayo, making the perfect two day rafting experience. We operate the expeditions to the upper Papagayo from September through until December and during your expo, you will have a two hour drive in pick ups through the sirrea Madre of Guerrero, two days of awsome rafting through rapids classed 2 to 5, you will make a rappel of 15 meters and participate in a session of Yoga, you camp under the stars in our luxury camp known as "Paddle on In" and you will dine like kings at every meal.

The River Jordan, Israel

Shalom Over the years, Alex has made a total of 12 trips to Israel to run guide training and river rescue courses on the Jordan River, for rafting companys, the military and the Police. The Jordan river is the only river in Israel in which you can raft on and it only has a section of 21 km for rafting but it is non stop fun all the way. The best time of year for running the River Jordan is from February to april, after this you are better off on a mountain bike.jijiji The section down to Dodot bridge in the high water season in awsome. there are few rivers in the world where you can run 8km of white water in just 8 minutes.

First up i would like to say thankyou to all the people that helped out at the open day and also to all the people that came to participate in all the activities.

Each year in the month of May Imagina opens the doors to Mexico city for people to participate in classes and activitys for free. This is our day to serve humanity with love. During the day we had graden games, the adventure rally, tirolesa and climbing wall, lunch with a show of Hawaian dancing, classes of kundalini yoga, fun fighting workouts. we had two modulos of information, one for the summer camp and classes and the other for rafting and adventure expeditions all for free. During the day we had over 200 people come to participate and form part of the Imagina Familly.

The River Xolapa

The River Xolapa is a disgustingly contaminated river, located just 40 minutes from Acapulco, Now although it is disgusting, it does have one nice drop of 6 meters that is fun to jump in any type of boat or board, but some times extreme fun means that people get hurt. In this case Dangerous Danny, he jumped the drop on a boogie board and his helmet opened his eye resulting in 8 stiches. be warned that when you get to the hospital part of the video, it does get a little ugly.

The River Cangrejal, Honduras

In the Year 2005, a couple of the guides of the Imagina Team, headed south for the low water season of Mexico in search of new white water adventures. While passing through Honduras, they ended up working some trips on the river Cangrejal, for a company called Omega Tours, located in the Pico Bonito National park. The river was awsome, the people were friendly, the food was great and we basically had a blast. We cant wait to get down there agian for more river adventures.

La Ruta del Cafe

"La Ruta del Cafe" is located in Tapachula, Chiapas, just 15 minutes from the border of Mexico and Guatamala. The Imagina Team arrived in Tapachula 6 years ago to explore the rivers of Chiapas. At this time the coffee farms were going bankrupt due to too many people drinking Nescafe and not real coffee. We were lucky enough to have been invited to stay at the first of the farms that form the coffee route, "Finca Argovia" and although the coffee industry was not leaving an income, we saw a huge potential to bring tourist from all over the world to know the beutiful region of southern Mexico. The owners invested into building restaurants and first class cabins, while the Imagina Team put together tours of the coffee factory, tropical flowers, rappels, tirolesas, rafting trips, bike tours, Temascals and so much more. Imagina Rafting now operates these activitys during the months of June to October. We look forward to seeing you here with us soon.

In Early April this year we had a few members of team Jackson come down to Mexico to celebrate Nick Troutmans batchelar party, we spent a few days on the river Alseseca in Veracruz and then we headed down to the cascades of Agua Azul in Chiapas, yet another play ground for creek boaters. Padme Nam Aitken, the director of Imagina Rafting, is constantly injecting the team with good energy to simply get out there and explore new rivers, do new thiings and simply have a good time. She is just waiting to grow a little more and she will be joining her father Alex on all his trips.

O.k. this is Ori, from Israel, surfing on a boogie board in the "Buenos Dias" surf wave on the river Papagayo, just forty five minutes from Acapulco. During the season this is probably the best surf wave in mexico for kayakers.

The river Cuilco is classed as the best commercial rafting descent in Mexico, it only has one rapid, but it is 30 km long, class 3,4 and 5. a real adventure located in the heart of the jungle. If you are into creek boating, the upper section is awsome with some big drops. Imagina Rafting is the only rafting company in Mexico that operates on this river.

rio alseseca

The river Alseseca is a creek boaters play ground, unfortunatly there are only about 10 creek boaters in Mexico. The river Alseseca has various sections that can be run, this video is of the road side section, 3 km long and about 20 drops. Team Imagina first explored and ran the Alseseca in the year 1998.
